I’ve visible plenty of viral cleansing hacks doing the rounds. Still, occasionally, while you see something with consequences that might not be brief or amazing, it appears too suitable to be proper.
But I became involved once I saw online that humans were cleaning their oven doorways with a dishwasher tablet.
My partner and I moved into our condo unit simply over a year ago, and the kitchen became new – but the oven door was grubby.
There have been baked-on marks at the glass, and over the last year, we’ve lived there; I’ve tried a few extraordinary ways to get them off without actual results.
I figured I had nothing to lose – and while a single tablet is simplest around 45 cents, it wouldn’t interrupt the financial institution if it turned into a complete fail.
I decided to try a viral hack to smooth our dirty oven door, and I seriously can’t trust how well it worked.
The technique is simple: dip a dishwasher tablet (I used Finish PowerBall) into warm water and rub it along the oven’s glass.
It did not take long for the tablet to crumble after being dipped in the water more than once as I moved it along the oven door; however, even as that passed off, a lot of grime came off the glass.
When the tablet fell aside, I wiped the whole thing around the glass – with my hand – and it became disgusting.
Once it was all rubbed in, and I couldn’t experience it catching on those actually ‘baked on’ marks anymore, I used paper towels and a chunk more heated water.
I was greatly surprised at the amount of yellowy-brown filth that came off.
AFTER
The process took around 10 minutes, and the after-snap shots do not do it justice because the oven glass is spotless.
I’ve been given so much oven pride I keep beginning it to show my boyfriend, and as awful as I don’t want to cook dinner in it, at least I now recognize a way to smooth it.
